Stephen Cummins grew up in the streets of Christ Church, Barbados. He came from a very well know entertainment family, and was a member of the Christ Church Branch of the Yoruba Dancers, led by "Gabby" and Elombe Motley" and studied creative movment and the arts with Egbert McDonald Sayers. * see Fact Sheet

In 1984, he moved to the USA, in that same year he formed Cumm Cross Productions, and during that time he began hosting sporting events as a means of recreation and entertainment. He was the coordinator of the 1st ever cricket Summits to be held in Boston, and coordinator of the 1st night cricket game. In 1987 he became quite active in carnival under the name Boston Barbadian Community Carnival Band and in 1999, changed to Cumm Cross Productions and produced his first costume band in 2002. His daughter Judelle Cummins placed 1st in New York 2004, 3rd in Boston 2004 and in 2003 she placed 4th in Boston Junior Queen, 2nd in New York and in 2002 3rd in Boston. - Edited by Michael C.
